There were those times.
too many, sombre moments
I visited you,
those patient steps leading to candle-lit midnights,
I counted
Mercy, Forgiveness, lots and lots of love;
Hands clasped, praying almost
pleading
my heart was so hurt, that tunnel was full of darkness,
I raised my hands to you,
It must have been slightly silly,
a desperation to survive,
- maybe;
Nine candles,
everytime, everyday,
The candle-seller smiled
How she knew me,
All the later times - all times
she would offer
Nine candles - unspoken
acknowledging,
I wonder
If she can she see my bleading heart,
soul grasping for fresh breath,
Do you think?
she could see through me?!
as Mother of all Mothers saw?
I so much wonder!
- maybe;
Then I placed a prayer,
to fly across oceans,
hiding my tears - drying, undrying,
a wax air-plane,
no one could see this game,
How illogical!
But I smiled, then
You smiled,
slowly,
did you?!
- maybe;
I looked around,
sea, silent tear, soothing breeze,
Did you send them?
I am so alone,
I am here,
And I miss Nine candles, ourconversations, looking at sea,
- you;
Yes, I miss you very much.
Thanks a lot :) Bhavna
